AK-47 | Wild Lotus, the most expensive AK-47 skin in CS2

The AK-47 is the most-owned rifle in Counter-Strike, and it carries the most expensive rifle skins in the game. A handful of them come from collections that stopped dropping years ago, which is why a single Factory New copy can cost more than a used car — and why the gap between the top of this list and the rest of the AK catalogue is so wide.

Here are the ten most expensive AK-47 skins in CS2 right now, what each one costs across conditions, and why the market prices them the way it does.

How we ranked them. Every price is the lowest listing for a plain copy — no stickers, no rare pattern, no StatTrak — across the marketplaces SkinView tracks, checked on 29 August 2026. The ranking uses the Factory New floor, since that is the number people compare. Skin prices move daily, so treat these as a snapshot and check the live price on each item page before you buy.

1. AK-47 | Wild Lotus — from ~$14,460

AK-47 | Wild Lotus, Factory New render

Nothing else on the AK comes close. AK-47 | Wild Lotus is an ink-painting lotus on a pale body, released in November 2019 inside the St. Marc Collection with Operation Shattered Web — a collection that only dropped for pass owners during the operation and has produced no new copies since.

The tell that this is a supply story, not a beauty contest, is the wear curve: Factory New sits around $14,460, but even a Battle-Scarred copy still asks roughly $4,290. On a normal skin, the worst condition is a rounding error next to the best. Here it is a third of the price, because there simply are not many Wild Lotuses in any condition. There is no StatTrak version at all.

2. AK-47 | Hydroponic — from ~$4,140

AK-47 | Hydroponic, Factory New render

AK-47 | Hydroponic is only a Classified, one grade below Covert, and it still holds second place. It comes from the Rising Sun Collection (2015), another discontinued operation collection, and its cannabis-leaf artwork gave it a cult following long before the price followed.

Its float is capped at 0.80, so even the worst copies stop short of the bottom of the wear scale — and a Battle-Scarred one still costs around $970. Factory New is where the scarcity bites: roughly $4,140, more than double the Minimal Wear price of about $1,715.

3. AK-47 | X-Ray — from ~$2,340

AK-47 | X-Ray, Factory New render

The skeleton-through-the-rifle design of AK-47 | X-Ray arrived on 3 December 2020 in the Havoc Collection, Operation Broken Fang's map collection. Operation-exclusive again, no StatTrak again.

X-Ray has the steepest wear curve in the top five: about $2,340 Factory New, ~$1,080 Minimal Wear, ~$620 Field-Tested and ~$335 Battle-Scarred. The pattern hides wear poorly, so buyers pay hard for low floats.

4. AK-47 | Fire Serpent — from ~$2,310

AK-47 | Fire Serpent, Factory New render

The most famous name on the list. AK-47 | Fire Serpent shipped in the Operation Bravo Case back in 2013, a case that has not dropped in over a decade — every copy in circulation was opened years ago.

Two quirks are worth knowing. Its float range starts at 0.06, so a "perfect" 0.00 Fire Serpent does not exist; the cleanest possible copy is still a hair off. And it is the only skin in the top five with a StatTrak version, which is where the real money sits: StatTrak Factory New trades around $5,740, making it the second most expensive AK variant in the game behind Wild Lotus.

5. AK-47 | Gold Arabesque — from ~$2,090

AK-47 | Gold Arabesque, Factory New render

Released on 22 September 2021 with Operation Riptide as the rarest drop in the 2021 Dust 2 Collection, AK-47 | Gold Arabesque is gold leaf on black — and it barely cares what condition it is in.

Factory New asks about $2,090 and Battle-Scarred still asks about $1,160, the flattest wear curve of any skin here. Gold-leaf artwork reads well at any float, supply is thin at every condition, and you will regularly see a Well-Worn listed above a Minimal Wear. That is not a mispricing to arbitrage; it is what happens when only a handful of copies are listed per condition.

6. AK-47 | Jet Set — from ~$1,180

AK-47 | Jet Set, Factory New render

AK-47 | Jet Set is the rarest item in the Baggage Collection (2014) — a luggage-sticker motif that most players would not recognise on sight, which is exactly the profile of a collector skin. Factory New runs about $1,180; every other condition collapses to the $330–$430 band, so essentially all of the value is in the top float bracket.

7. AK-47 | Red Laminate — from ~$670

AK-47 | Red Laminate, Factory New render

The clearest "the skin isn't expensive, the condition is" case on the list. AK-47 | Red Laminate from the eSports 2013 Collection asks around $670 Factory New — and about $98 Minimal Wear, $45 Field-Tested. The wood-laminate finish shows every scratch, and clean copies were always scarce, so the FN premium is roughly 7x the next condition down. StatTrak Factory New roughly doubles it again, to about $1,325.

8. AK-47 | AUTOEXEC — from ~$650

AK-47 | AUTOEXEC, Factory New render

The newest entry by a wide margin: AK-47 | AUTOEXEC launched on 9 July 2026 in the Spy Tech Collection, an Armory collection with no case to open — you either pull it, buy it, or trade up into it. Its glossy blue-and-pink tech gradient made it an instant favourite.

Treat this price with more caution than the rest. New Coverts are supply-constrained at launch and their floors usually slide over the following months as copies accumulate. Roughly $650 Factory New today says as much about age as it does about scarcity.

9. AK-47 | Leet Museo — from ~$630

AK-47 | Leet Museo, Factory New render

AK-47 | Leet Museo is the Covert from the Operation Riptide Case (September 2021) — a museum-art AK that split opinion on release and has quietly climbed since. Its float caps at 0.65, so even the worst copies stay presentable, and the Factory New premium (~$630 against ~$281 Minimal Wear) is comparatively modest.

10. AK-47 | Vulcan — from ~$580

AK-47 | Vulcan, Factory New render

The esports classic. AK-47 | Vulcan came in the Huntsman Weapon Case in 2014 and has been on the "AK skins everyone wants" list ever since. Factory New sits around $580, but the StatTrak Factory New at roughly $1,490 is the copy collectors chase.

Vulcan barely holds tenth place: AK-47 | Consequence of the Jinn ($580, released the same day as AUTOEXEC) and AK-47 | Jaguar ($579) are within a dollar of it. Any of the three can be tenth on a given day.

The exception a price list can't rank: Case Hardened

AK-47 | Case Hardened blue gem, pattern 661

AK-47 | Case Hardened has a Factory New floor of about $460, which would put it thirteenth. It is also, by reported sale price, the most expensive Counter-Strike skin ever made.

Case Hardened's finish is randomly seeded, so each copy gets a pattern index that decides how much of the rifle is blue. Pattern #661 — a near-fully blue playside, the so-called Blue Gem — is the most sought-after seed in the game. A StatTrak Factory New #661 reportedly changed hands for around $1 million in mid-2024, and no comparable copy has surfaced since.

Two caveats worth stating plainly. These are private, brokered deals, so reported figures are reports, not quotes you can act on. And a "blue gem" is a spectrum: a few dozen high-tier seeds trade in the four to six figures, while the vast majority of Case Hardened copies are the ordinary $200–$460 skin the price list shows. When you shop for one, the pattern index — not the wear — is the number that matters.

StatTrak changes the ranking

Four of the top five AK skins have no StatTrak version at all. Wild Lotus, Hydroponic, X-Ray and Gold Arabesque all came from collection drops rather than from cases, and collection drops never produce StatTrak copies. Where StatTrak does exist, it commands a heavy premium:

StatTrak, Factory NewFrom
AK-47 | Fire Serpent~$5,740
AK-47 | Vulcan~$1,490
AK-47 | Red Laminate~$1,325
AK-47 | Jaguar~$1,060
AK-47 | Case Hardened~$890

Rank AK variants rather than skins and StatTrak Fire Serpent slots straight in at number two.

What actually drives an AK-47's price

  • Where it came from. Every skin in the top six comes from a source that no longer drops. Discontinued supply plus steady demand is the whole formula; artwork alone has never carried a skin to four figures.
  • Float, not just wear. "Factory New" is a bracket, not a value. Inside it, a 0.01 float can be worth multiples of a 0.06, and some skins (Fire Serpent, Red Laminate) have float ranges that make the low end impossible.
  • StatTrak and Souvenir. A StatTrak counter can double or triple a price; Souvenir copies from Major packages follow their own supply curve entirely.
  • Pattern index. Mostly a Case Hardened concern on the AK, but it is the single largest multiplier in the game when it applies.
  • Stickers. A rare craft — Katowice 2014 holos above all — can be worth many times the rifle underneath. Sticker value is separate from skin value, and it does not survive a re-application.

How to buy one without overpaying

The same AK can differ by 20–40% between marketplaces on the same day, and the spread is rarely where you would guess. A few habits that save real money:

  • Compare before you commit. Every skin above has a live price on SkinView with each marketplace's current offer side by side, so the cheapest listing is one glance rather than eight tabs.
  • Price the float, not the label. Two Factory New copies at very different floats are two different products. Check the exact float before you compare listings.
  • Count the real cost. Marketplace fees, payment fees and trade holds all move the effective price. A listing that looks 5% cheaper can arrive slower and cost more.
  • Be patient on thin markets. On a skin with a handful of listings — Wild Lotus, Gold Arabesque, Jet Set — the visible floor is one seller's opinion. Waiting a week is a legitimate strategy.

FAQ

What is the most expensive AK-47 skin in CS2? By ordinary market price, AK-47 | Wild Lotus at roughly $14,460 for a Factory New copy. By highest reported sale, an AK-47 | Case Hardened with pattern #661 in StatTrak Factory New, at about $1 million.

Why is Wild Lotus so expensive? It only dropped to Operation Shattered Web pass holders in late 2019 and was never re-released, so the supply is fixed and small. Its Battle-Scarred copies still cost more than most AK skins in Factory New, which is what a supply shortage looks like on a price chart.

Is Fire Serpent still worth buying? It is the most recognisable AK skin in Counter-Strike and its case has not dropped since 2013, so supply only shrinks. At around $2,310 Factory New it is not cheap, but it is the top-five entry most people will actually recognise in a server.

Do expensive AK-47 skins hold their value? Historically the discontinued ones have held up better than case skins, because no new copies enter circulation. That is not a guarantee: prices move with the wider skin market, and a brand-new release like AUTOEXEC is the most likely of the ten to fall as supply builds.

What is the cheapest way to get an expensive AK skin? Buy the condition, not the name. A Field-Tested Fire Serpent or a Battle-Scarred X-Ray gets you the same artwork for a fraction of the Factory New price — and on skins like Gold Arabesque, where wear barely shows, the visual difference is close to nothing.
