How the value is worked out, and what to do when a library won't load.
Every paid game in the library is priced at its regular Steam store price in US dollars, and the prices are added up. Free games and games that are no longer sold don't count toward the total.
Steam only shares the games of accounts whose game details are public. In Steam, open Edit Profile, then Privacy Settings, and set Game details to Public. Steam can take a few minutes to apply the change.
The cheapest current price of the same games on third-party key stores, provided by GG.deals. It is usually below the Steam total, and it only covers the games those stores sell.
Steam lets players hide their playtime while keeping their game list public. When it's hidden, the library still gets a value, but the playtime and the cost per hour can't be shown.
